What are Cookies?
Cookies are small bits of text information saved in the user’s computer. They are sent through the web server after visiting a website i.e. They are mostly used to make it easier to automate the website. The content of the Cookie files helps identify the user. They usually contain the name of the website they come from, the period time they have been on the hard drive and a unique number.
Using cookies
Cookie files are used to save small pieces of the user’s data which lets log in and remember the basket content in the online shop or the language/look preferences of the website automatically. Sometimes they are part of the visit counter, questionnaires or anonymous statistical data in order to check if
the user has already been counted or voted in the survey.
Blocking the Cookies
In order to block the Cookie files or indispose them from some functions, you need to change the Settings of your browser
Google Chrome
Click the Menu (top right hand corner), Settings bookmark » show advanced settings. In the Privacy section, click Content setting
Mozilla Fireworks
Through the menu of the browser, you need to click: Tools » Options » Privacy. Then it is enough to activate the Firefox Program: it will use the settings
Internet Explorer
Tools » Internet Options » Privacy: – set the level of privacy
Opera
From the browser menu: Settings»Privacy and safety»Cookies section
