This is what he said about his idea:

“I’ve been working on recycling old unnecessary, thrown away things for a couple of years. I’m giving them a second chance for life. My main goal is practicality, originality and design. These candlesticks are handmade from old wood that’s thrown away. Everybody else – original, I wanted to contribute to the Furaha Foundation with my wife Innka for a long time.
I’ve been thinking how to do it most effectively.
I invented a product that has dual use right away.
It will delight whoever buys it and at the same time will help those who need it most. I know that when you light a candle in this candlestick, everyone remembers that he helped. And thanks to that we all helped.
